S’mores Shake
Do we need to say s’mores (shake)?
This liquid successor to smokey’s most popular dessert, the s’mores Skillet, has arrived in style! From the first sip this shake is guaranteed to put a stupid grin on your face. It’s so good, yet so bad at the same time.
Sweet chocolate, creamy roasted marshmallows, salted caramel and a good measure of punchy whisky, it’s the ultimate temptation for grown-ups.
The ingredients:
(4 shakes)
Smoked salted caramel sauce
- 3½ oz (100 gr) granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 3⅓ fl oz (100 ml) unsweetened whipping cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 ½ tsp smoked salt
Shake
- 49 oz (1.4kg) chocolate ice cream
- 5 ⅓ fl oz (160 ml) whole milk
- 7 fl oz (200 ml) whiskey (Dewar’s 12 year old)
- 4 tbsp peanut butter
- 24 marshmallows
- 4 cookies
- 4 tbsp salted roasted peanuts
Gear:
- Blender
- 4 large glasses
- Blowtorch
How to make:
Duration: prep 15 minutes
Cooking about: 10 minutes
Start by making the smoked salted caramel sauce by heating the water and sugar together on very low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Try not to stir to prevent crystals from forming. Heat the molten sugar until it turns gold. Add the unsweetened whipping cream to the golden caramel (Be careful of the splash!). Stir the butter and the smoked salt in with the caramel and set aside.
In a blender, mix the chocolate ice cream, whole milk, whiskey, and peanut butter and blend to a smooth shake. Poor into the glasses. Place 6 marshmallows on top of each shake and lightly sear them with the blowtorch. Garnish with cookies, roasted peanuts, and salted caramel sauce. And there you have it: our S’mores shake!
